tortuga self-released, 2005 Tortuga is an album of eclectic pop tunes that I recorded between 2002 and 2005. Drawing from musical influences such as the Beach Boys, the Flaming Lips, the Ramones, Radiohead, Steve Reich and traditional Chinese music, Tortuga explores the themes of uncertainty and restlessness from a perspective that is cautiously optimistic. 12 of the 14 tracks are original; also included are a covers of a Beach Boys and Ramones song.
